Sant Antoni is Ibiza's second-largest town, located on the west coast of the island in the Bay of Portmany, one of Europe's largest and most beautiful natural harbours. It has played a pioneering role in Ibiza's tourism since the late 1950s, with its vibrant nightlife, beautiful beaches and iconic sunset converting the destination into a premier hotspot for young tourists.
Thanks to its mild climate, Sant Antoni is a hotspot for tourism all-year round. From Christmas markets that line the town's streets in December to major sporting events, new urban art routes, and enhanced high-end accommodation and dining options to burst on the scene in 2024, Sant Antoni extends a warm welcome to visitors who appreciate culture, sports, and discerning experiences, 365 days a year.
New street art route launch: 'Ruta ArtUrbà'
Since hosting the pilot for Ibiza's annual street art festival, Bloop, in 2011, attracting artists and visitors from around the world all-year round, Sant Antoni has thrived as a vibrant creativity hub.
For 2024, Sant Antoni has launched the new "Ruta ArtUrbà" (street art route). This route guides visitors through the town's streets to discover 16 expansive and highly symbolic murals adorning walls and building facades. These works showcase artists from around the world, creating a captivating open-air contemporary museum within the town's urban environment.
Year-round diving, Nordic walks and sporting competitions to showcase Sant Antoni's diverse sporting proposition
San Antonio's sports and adventure scene extends from land to sea. Below the crystal-clear waters, diving enthusiasts can explore vibrant seabeds, teeming with life and diverse rock formations. With optimal visibility year-round and mild sea temperatures from 14 to 28 degrees, it's a year-round diving paradise. Novice divers can discover vibrant marine life and impressive rock formations at dive sites like Es Llosar (Punta Galera) whilst for the experienced, Ses Margalides (Isla Margarita) offers challenging underwater galleries and a chance to encounter European barracuda, conger eels, and more.
On land in 2024, Sant Antoni will play host to prestigious sports events, like the Ruta de la Sal sailing regatta (April 6-9), and the Vuelta a Ibiza MTB (April 7-9), a thrilling mountain bike race that covers 200 kilometres of spectacular trails, firmly solidifying Sant Antoni's position as a renowned sports destination.
Additionally, new Nordic walking routes provide opportunities to explore the inner and coastal beauty of Sant Antoni via 5 guided hikes of varying difficulty and distances throughout September 2023 and April 2024, making it a paradise for adventure enthusiasts.
