Spark Your Creativity at Catalyst.

Families can experience a range of exciting attractions in Halton. Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum is a hub for young, curious minds, offering interactive exhibits and engaging workshops that bring science to life. There is also a great playground for kids of all ages to explore. This hands-on experience will leave kids and adults alike fascinated by the wonders of science.

Enjoy free parking at Spike Island Car Park nearby, or if you're using public transport, you can get on the 27 or 27A bus which stops right outside the premises. There is also a park for the children to enjoy at Spike Island with picnic benches if it is a crisp Autumn afternoon.

Step into an alternate reality at the VR Warehouse.

Only a 10-minute walk from Runcorn station, VR Warehouse invites you to put on a VR headset and transport yourself into a virtual reality. Select your game of choice and immerse yourself in the interactive fun. You can also find retro Arcade Machines games including Pac-Man, Mortal Combat and Street Fighter.

Enjoy Spooky Stories if you dare at Norton Priory.

Frightfully fun Spooky Stories events on the 27th, 29th and 30th October. The Spooky Stories evenings will include a craft activity to take home, potion making, an animal handling session with Naomi of Animal Teach and a daring story walk into the dark, dark woods.

Immerse yourself in the enchanting garden setting of Norton Priory as you've never seen it before. Running until early November, the beautiful eighteenth-century Walled Garden of Norton Priory is hosting a 'Wild Calligraphy' event with artist Brian Whitmore of Cross Street Arts. Discover fragments of quotations, thoughts, poems, and philosophy throughout a mindful trail and reflect and ruminate in solace this Autumn.

Immerse yourself in live entertainment that will leave the whole family captivated at The Brindley Theatre in Runcorn. In October, you can see Jurassic Live for a roarsome show. Explore the Lewis Carroll Centre, an engaging attraction dedicated to the famous Daresbury-born author, Lewis Carroll. Discover his fascinating writing and work, including a self-guided walk around 'The Birthplace' and the enchanting exhibition at Lewis Carroll Centenary Wood in Daresbury. Don't miss the captivating stained-glass windows by renowned artist William Morris at All Saints Church. Whilst you're there, be sure to visit Daresbury Dairy and treat your tastebuds to their seasonal specials, including their Autumn 'Treacle and Apple Strudel' flavours.
