October 23, 2023 – Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the opening of nominations for its 21st Cruise Industry Awards in Australasia, which will be announced at a gala celebration in Sydney on March 9, 2024.
Among the honours will be CLIA's Media Award, recognising high standards in cruise journalism in print and electronic media across Australia and New Zealand.
CLIA invites Australian and New Zealand media to take part. Submission of stories, videos, podcasts or broadcasts that showcase cruising will be accepted from freelance and staff journalists from mainstream, online and trade media outlets.
To be eligible for this award category, the article or broadcast will:
- Showcase the cruising experience or the innovations of the cruise industry.
- Demonstrate creativity and originality.
Comprise at least 800 words (in the case of print/written).- Have been published/released during 2023.
- Feature a CLIA cruise line or river cruise line, in the case of content created from a famil or hosted travel.
The media award is open for self-nomination, with one entry permitted per journalist. Nominations can be submitted online (including a link or file to upload) and must be received by the end of November 30, 2023.
