Sussex, June 2023 – Coinciding with English Wine Week, South Lodge spa, part of Exclusive Collection, has announced an exclusive partnership with British skincare brand Pelegrims to launch an all-natural line of treatments using grape extracts from the hotel's very own vineyard. Pelegrims, the brainchild of natural formulator Alex Verier, are active products that work in harmony with the skin, supporting it to heal and rejuvenate from the stresses of daily life while celebrating provenance and the growth of English wine.

With a shared commitment to sustainability, the partnership with Pelegrims marks a significant step forward for South Lodge by bringing nature's essence to the forefront of its treatments and product range. Formulations are made using raw materials of the wine-making process, such as grape skins, seeds, stems from Ortega and Pinot Noir grape vines, that would otherwise go to waste, to enrich the skin and boost antioxidant properties with anti-ageing benefits and improved skin tone. The new product range utilises by-products from South Lodge's very own vineyard and the surrounding South Downs countryside, reducing the spa's carbon footprint while providing a rejuvenating guest experience. South Lodge's vineyard was planted in May 2022 in partnership with Ridgeview Wine Estate.

The South Lodge X Pelegrims product range will form the basis of a new signature treatment at The Spa: the Grapevine Face and Back Glow. The signature 60-minute treatment includes a revitalising back facial with exfoliation to cleanse, detox and hydrate followed by a soothing neck and shoulder massage; a relaxing scalp massage to relieve stress and release tension, followed by a cleansing facial encompassing light exfoliation with a detoxifying mask; and a rejuvenating hands and feet cleanse.

Guests can also book the Di-Vine Spa Day, including the Grapevine Face and Back Glow signature treatment, and a glass of Ridgeview English wine at South Lodge spa's dairy-free restaurant Botanica, with a menu curated by Head Chef Jonathan Spiers.

Guests wanting to make a night of it can book the Di-Vine Spa Break which includes the Grapevine Face and Back Glow signature treatment, a Mud Room Rasul experience using Pelegrims mud, exfoliant and body lotion; a glass of Ridgeview English sparkling wine; overnight accommodation; and breakfast or brunch the next day.

The spa will also stock South Lodge X Pelegrims shampoo, conditioner and body wash range in its guest showers and are developing a natural pure grape seed oil to be used in treatments. Ingredients include mint and AHA fruit acids for skin exfoliation; English nettle root powder, known for its anti-inflammatory properties; and South Lodge grape leaf extract, infused with jasmine, lavender and grass fragrant notes for a calming experience. Guests will have the option to purchase the exclusive line of products to continue their spa experience at home.

The 60-minute Grapevine Face and Back Glow treatment is priced at £125.

The Di-Vine Spa Day is priced at £270.

The Di-Vine Spa Break starts from £815.
