17th May 2023: Inspired by National Walking month this May, the experts from trusted walking operator Inghams have revealed their favourite walks across Europe for the summer.
Built on 85+ years' experience of exploring the great outdoors, the Inghams walking programme is done differently, based in one (sometimes two) locations, with no fixed itinerary. Instead, Inghams offer guests the freedom and flexibility to explore as much or as little of the local area on foot. In destinations with incredible scenery, guests can take the time to explore existing walks, sightsee, enjoy local food and drink, or just relax.
Guests are invited to stroll, hike or stride at their own pace, around the most beautiful parts of Europe. Discover art and culture in Italy, hike the majestic Alps in Switzerland and Austria, meander quaint mountain villages or walking trails in France or fall in love with the alluring landscapes of Slovenia.
New for 2023, Inghams are offering guests the opportunity to join up to two included guided walks per week in selected destinations. These walks are exclusive to Inghams, where guests can enjoy incredible scenery, hidden trails and expert advice from a professional, local guide*.
Inghams Head of Walking Product, Laura Mason said;
“We've designed our Inghams Walking programme for people to discover the most beautiful, breath-taking scenery for walking, alongside the most fabulous local food, drink and experiences.
We're so excited that our new guided walk programme has officially launched for this summer. Working with local guides across Europe, our expert team have found the best walks in each of our hero resorts, giving guests the opportunity to discover more of our destinations on foot.”
