Introducing Sitopia: Now Open

Sitopia

A charming four-room, family-owned retreat nestled in the Judean Hills of Israel with a slow-living ethos, farm-to-table dining and ultra-local experiences at its core

Tel Aviv -- May, 2023: Sitopia is a natural retreat set in the picturesque village of Kfar Uria, just a 40-minute drive from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Sitopia, which officially opened its doors to guests in February 2023, is housed in a one-story villa boasting four thoughtfully designed rooms, an open dining area and bar, and heated swimming pool set within an open-air lobby with an adjacent steam room. With authentic hospitality and local experiences at its heart, the bolthole property embodies a slow-living, farm-to-table dining ethos, using fresh produce from the estate and surrounding area.

Owned and run by British-Israeli mother-daughter duo, Tessa Laws and Lotte Beilin, Sitopia will take guests on a journey through this lesser-known region of the Judean Hills, and is set to be the ideal hideaway for nature-lovers, luxury seekers and those simply looking for peace and quiet.

The bucolic retreat, named after the ancient Greek words for food, "sitos," and place, "topos," provides an idyllic setting for sleeping, eating, and exploring. Tessa and Lotte bring a fresh perspective on hospitality to the Judean Hills, welcoming visitors looking to relax and unwind in a destination that cares deeply about the local community and the environment. Days can be spent slowly exploring and enjoying everything Sitopia has to offer, from relaxing by the pool, exploring the nearby fields with a freshly prepared picnic, to guided Tzora forest bathing, bike and jeep excursions and Kadma winery and Mony vineyard visits.

The four loft-styled rooms at Sitopia are housed in a one-story building, set on the ground floor, and feature sophisticated, charming interiors with distinct color schemes. Comprising a White, Blue, Green and Black room, designed by Israeli architect Amit Doron, each room boasts a private, nature-facing terrace space and a back-to-basics campfire.

Sitopia's culinary offerings include an authentic Israeli breakfast made from locally sourced, seasonal produce from the Mateh Yehuda region, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the room, private terrace or in the property's charming kitchen. A private chef dining experience serving sumptuous farm-to-table dishes is also available for those looking for a truly unique experience. Additional food options, such as field-side picnics, foraging experiences, terrace grills, and complimentary sundowners, are available upon request.

Rates at Sitopia begin at 1,800 NIS per night. For more information on Sitopia, visit
