Montreal, Canada (April 18th, 2023) – FlightList, a niche flight search and booking platform, today announced the launch of its Android app that will make it easier and cheaper for travelers to find and book one-way flights to any destination. With the new Android app, FlightList aims to target digital nomads, backpackers, and flexible travelers who mostly book one-way flights and are flexible with their departure dates.
“FlightList was a response to a personal frustration while traveling from the Netherlands to Ukraine in 2017. I wasn't in a hurry to leave; I had two tabs open on my browser and kept switching between Google Flights and Skyscanner and picking different dates. After an hour I finally booked a flight. If I had FlightList at the time, I would've discovered flights leaving from Eindhoven were 50% cheaper than Amsterdam and would've taken me less than a minute to find.” said Hans Desjarlais, founder of FlightList. “I knew if I solved this problem for myself, I'd solve it for fellow travelers who have similar frustrations with traditional flight booking sites.”
The FlightList app allows users to search for one-way flights with over 750,000,000 combinations on nearly 700 airlines, including low-cost carriers. Users can search by departure date range and by airport, city, country, or continent.
Key Features of FlightList's Android App:
· Minimal one-page user interface
· List-style search results, with options to filter by airline, price, and more
· Search by date range (7, 30, 60, 180 days or custom range)
· Search departure and destination by airport, city, country, or continent
"Digital nomads, backpackers, and flexible travelers are a growing segment of the travel market, and they have specific needs when it comes to booking flights," said Desjarlais. "They're adventurous, they mostly book one-way flights on short notice, are flexible with their departure dates and look for the best deals. With the FlightList Android app, we make it really easy.”
FlightList's Android app is available for free on Google Play Store with an app download size less than half a megabyte, making it quick to download in countries with slower mobile internet speeds.
