 London, 31 January 2023: HF Holidays, the award-winning walking and special interest holiday operator will be decking their 16 country houses with bunting to mark the momentous occasion of the coronation during the first bank holiday weekend in May. Guests staying at the historic houses, on 6 May 2023 can enjoy the historic crowning of the King on a big screen with live broadcasts from Westminster Abbey and toast of His Majesty Charles III with a themed afternoon tea, a splash of fizz, and big slices of Victoria sponge, followed by an inter-house royal quiz with prizes.

David Harrington, CEO of HF Holidays said: “It won't be the first time Charles III has made an appearance in our houses. Our centenary year in 2013 was royally marked by His Majesty's visit to Thorns Hall – our Grade II-listed country house just a skip away from the Cumbrian market town of Sedbergh. Then the Prince of Wales, he was briefed about the history of HF Holidays and invited to cut a special 100-year anniversary cake. He also chatted to our guests and kindly signed a commemorative copy of The Story of HF Holidays. We are delighted that we can be celebrating this national occasion with our guests.”   

History buffs will also enjoy HF Holidays' two exclusive, seven-night Snowdonia Discovery Tours, departing on 16 June  and 28 July 2023, which will include a special visit  to Caenarfon Castle, site of the Prince of Wales – now King Charles III's – investiture. The tour will also take in two other UNESCO-listed castles – Harlech and Conwy Castle that both played a pivotal role in the history of the British monarchy as well as a trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and time to admire Powis Castle and its famous gardens.
