With over 40 years' experience in pioneering and leading small, escorted group tours to every corner of Latin America, specialist tour operator Journey Latin America is delighted to announce the launch of their brand-new 14-day Jabirú: Wildlife, Wine and Jesuit Missions group tour.
Exclusive to Journey Latin America and operating with a maximum of 16 like-minded travellers, the Jabirú is a unique tour that explores three significant South American capital cities: Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Asunción, whilst also taking in Uruguay's coastal wine-growing region and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Colonia del Sacramento. Fully escorted from start to finish by an award-winning Journey Latin America tour leader, the tour ventures inland to the well-preserved Jesuit Missions in Paraguay and the remote wetlands of Iberá in Argentina - a haven for wildlife including jaguars, capybaras and giant river otters. Participants will revel in getting off the beaten track to discover the history, culture and wildlife of some of Latin America's virtually untouched regions.
The holiday costs from £4,778 per person and includes good-quality accommodation, most meals, excursions, domestic flights and private transfers. International flights are extra and start from £1,150pp. Journey Latin America has only one departure this year on 02 October, however, they plan to offer more departures in 2024.
Solo travellers willing to share a room are not required to pay a single supplement. Alternatively, those wishing to have their own room, can pay a single supplement of £919. Pre and post tour tailor-made extensions to visit Iguazú Falls, Rio de Janeiro or an extended stay on an estancia are also available at an extra cost.
The Jabirú is showcased in Journey Latin America's Group Journeys brochure which includes 34 group tours to every country in Central and South America, and is available to download or to request from the operator's website (journeylatinamerica.com).
Jim Ashworth, Group Tours Manager at Journey Latin America comments, “'It is always exciting to create new tours visiting regions to which we might not have run trips for a few years. The Jabirú itinerary was inspired by one of our experienced travel experts and is an innovative itinerary to Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay taking in some of the region's highlights as well as its lesser-known gems, we think the tour has something for everyone.”
