Located in the 'fruitbowl' of Japan, this unique agricultural theme park is surrounded by nature and has around 4,300 fruit trees of 160 varieties growing onsite. For kids there are plenty of activities, such as the fruit-themed playground equipment and large covered openair playground. The restaurant menu has fruit dishes and local ingredients, the park also has a winery with wine from around the world. Current wintertime events include stargazing and learning about the night sky as well as spectacular illuminations of the orchard and other areas.
The vast park has permanent glamping tents, so you can stay overnight. And don't worry, inexperienced, campers are welcome, a BBQ dinner and buffet breakfast included in the stay. Nothing to prepare, just show up, the glamp site is fully equipped with tables, chairs, bedding, refrigeration, and television. Segways and bicycles are also available, making it a perfect agricultural theme park for families who want to enjoy fruit picking and other activities and stay overnight.
The official flower of Hamamatsu is the mikan- mandarin orange blossom. You will find their snow-white flower and sweet scent here in the Fruit Park orchard in early summer ready for harvest in mid-October until the end of December. The mikans from this region are famous throughout Japan.
