The travel comeback is celebrated by unveiling the Out & About with Kids Readers' Choice Awards winners, recognising the most popular destinations, attractions, tours, airlines, hotels, resorts and holiday parks for Australian families.

Melbourne was named the best Australian city for families to visit in this year's awards. Ballarat in Victoria awarded the gong for the best regional destination, and Thredbo in NSW won best Australian ski resort. The Hawaiian Islands scored as the best international holiday destination for families.

Paradise Resort Gold Coast, unvanquished for eleven years, took the title of best hotel or resort for families in Australia. In addition, Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket was named the best hotel or resort in Thailand for families. Family favourite Bali Dynasty Resort received the award for best hotel or resort in Bali, and Kā'anapali Beach Hotel triumphed as the favourite family resort for the Hawaiian Islands.

BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park was recognised by our readers as the best holiday park for families in Queensland, while BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park in Kiama is top of the ladder in NSW. In addition, BIG4 was voted the best holiday park group in Australia for families.

Out & About with Kids publisher Elisa Elwin of Elwin Media said travellers' habits had changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and rising living costs, leading to a few surprises in the list of winners. “Low-cost airline Scoot — a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines — was awarded best airline for families for the first time, showing we are becoming more budget conscious,” she said.

Out & About with Kids' innovative monthly digital magazine features stories about Australian and overseas holiday destinations, hotel reviews, advice, interviews with industry experts and celebrities, and the latest travel products families need to know about. In addition, the Out & About with Kids website showcases the hottest deals, competitions and videos.
