Kelling Heath Holiday Park near Holt in North Norfolk will play host to an exciting orienteering event in collaboration with the East Anglian Orienteering League on 11th December. Over 170 competitors from six regional clubs will use the Park's 300- acres of unique and diverse heathland to put their navigation skills to the test by traversing one of the eight specifically designed courses as part of this prestigious event.
The event is open to anyone over the age of eight, ideally forming a team and choosing which course they participate in – from a short easy route for beginners to a testing longer trail for the more experienced. For those competing as part of an affiliated club, points can be won as part of the four event series taking place in 2022, either as an individual or a club. The day is set to attract in the region of 170 competitors from six regional clubs. For those taking part for fun, entry is open on the day for a small charge.

About the Event
- The event is open to all over the age of eight years old.
- There are four events in total held across the UK, one of which is taking place at Kelling Heath on 11th December.
- There are eight courses traversing Kelling Heath as part of the event.
- There are anticipated to be 170 participants this year.
- If you want to score points, you must run a specific course for your age (and belong to an East Anglian club).
- There are six clubs in the East Anglian Association, which runs the East Anglian League every year.
- This year, four events from around the region all count towards points both for the individual, and the club.
- Points are automatically calculated, and a total score for the best three results will be used to calculate a place.
- The main participating clubs are: Havering and South Essex Orienteering Club (HAVOC), Norfolk Orienteering Club (NOR), South Midlands Orienteering Club (SMOC), Essex Stragglers (SOS), Suffolk Orienteering Club (SUFFOC), and West Anglian Orienteering Club (WAOC).
