
I'm delighted to introduce #ExperienceIndonesia, a series of FREE festivities taking place in London in November, where individuals can immerse themselves in Indonesian culture, food and fashion. Made up of more than 17,500 islands, from beautiful Bali to awe-inspiring Kalimantan, Indonesia is known for its breath-taking landscape, delicious cuisine, historic temples, and warm, welcoming culture. Discover what makes Indonesia so special at one of four exciting events:
Indonesian Day: Sunday 6th November

Celebrate all things Indonesia with this food and art bazaar. There'll be live music, performing arts, local artisans, and complimentary Indonesian street food. With an afternoon of prize-draws, games and giveaways, all visitors will also be in with a chance of winning a luxurious holiday to Bali and Labuan Bajo!

Indonesian Batik Workshop: Monday 7th November
Time: 10am – 1pm

The Indonesian hand-drawn Batik (Batik Tulis) is recognised as UNESCO's Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity for its unique technique. During Indonesian Workshop: Discover Batik, attendees will get to learn about the unique and rich philosophy of Indonesian Batik and how it is incorporated into daily wear and watch a mini fashion show where they'll learn how to style Batik clothes and scarves. All guests will also have a chance to try their hand at Batik, using hot wax and Canting (tjantling), with a workshop led by an Indonesian artist. You'll even get to take home your design!

Indonesian Coffee Day 2022: Monday 7th November

This exclusive event will be dedicated to delicious Indonesian coffee, during which there will be a presentation about Indonesian coffee, its unique characteristics, varieties, and specialities. Guests will hear from the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the UK and Ireland, H.E. Dr. Desra Percaya, as well as representatives from the British Coffee Association and 5758 Coffee Lab in Indonesia.
After the talks, there'll be an opportunity to enjoy a delicious coffee tasting whilst networking with Indonesian coffee growers and suppliers.

Indonesian Night: Tuesday 8th November

Experience traditional Indonesian arts and culture with an evening of live performances. Talented native musicians and dancers will take to the stage to give guests a flavour of authentic Indonesian culture.
