SAUDIA Celebrates 55 Years of Operation at London Heathrow

London, 30 August 2022 – Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, celebrated their 55th anniversary of operations at London Heathrow airport on August 23rd. To commemorate the special occasion, SAUDIA organized an activation event at London Heathrow and surprised their guests with on-ground celebration and an announcement by the captain during the flight. At the specially branded check-in desk, decorated with cards and banners, SAUDIA guests received a gift bag and gold plated coin giveaways.

In the year 2022, SAUDIA carried a total of 256,557 passengers on 2,059 operated flights. The total distance flown to and from London so far this year adds up to 10,046,852 miles and the total flight hour count is 13,614. SAUDIA serves London Heathrow with a Boeing 787 (Dreamliner) and a Boeing 777-300ER. Onboard, guests can enjoy the bistro menu in all classes and a chef on board in business class.

SAUDIA currently offers direct flights between King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and London Heathrow (LHR) as well as between Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport (RUH) and London Heathrow (LHR) daily. SAUDIA has increased its seat capacity to London by 51% recently, providing 21 flights per week to meet the strong growing demand for travel with state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
