June 2022 / As the city gets back into its swing again in 2022, London's bar scene continues to experiment and innovate. In the summer, locals and visitors alike head to the city's terraces and rooftop bars for long, lazy afternoon lunches and sunset drinks – in the context of the urban landscape, these are rare outdoor oases for social gatherings, with panoramic views across London. 

Escape the summer crowds and head to London's coolest new kid on the block, AMANO Rooftop Bar. Located on the seventh floor of the newly opened Hotel AMANO Covent Garden, up here guests can enjoy incredible city views and an impressive drinks menu, in true AMANO style, created by Bars Manager Antonio Cannizzaro.

Signature cocktails include Fume' (Tanqueray gin, sherry and smoked pineapple syrup), The Rooftop (elderflower-infused Grey Goose vodka, Chambord and champagne), and spins on classics such as the Ristretto Negroni (coffee-infused gin, Antica Formula, Campari and crème de banana).  Alternatively choose from an international selection of wine and beer, first class Champagnes and non-alcoholic drinks.

Meanwhile AMANO Covent Garden's Director of Nightlife, Mikey Lucombe, ensures the rooftop atmosphere hits the spot with an eclectic line-up of DJs spinning music in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday. Take the night up a notch and head down to the hotel's lively AMANO Bar in the basement, where the music, drinks and party are guaranteed to carry on until late.

Hotel AMANO Covent Garden opened in May 2022, a boutique lifestyle hotel and the first UK hotel from the Berlin-based hotel group, whose ethos is to provide guests with beautifully designed spaces in the best city-centre locations at a fair price. This Covent Garden outpost is located on Russell Street, making the rooftop bar an ideal pitstop for those looking for a place to party in the city, as well as shoppers or pre- or post-theatre goers to rendezvous. Somerset House is a short walk away, as is Chinatown and Soho.
