Following eighteen months of close consultation and working hand in hand with the Japanese Government and Japanese National Tourism Office, in preparation for the reopening, Wendy Wu Tours, who carry the largest number of tourist groups to Japan from the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, have been given the green light by the Japanese Government to take this first official group tour to Japan on the 26 July 2022, one of the first travel companies allowed back into Japan from this Friday. The new July departure for Wu's flagship 11-day 'Jewels of Japan', departs 26 July 2022 and with demand at an all-time high, it's likely this tour will sell out in record time.
Speaking on this new tour departure, Wendy Wu, founder of Wendy Wu Tours said: “We've been given the green light by the Japanese Government to resume group touring and have taken the unprecedented step of adding an extra tour date in July, to meet the huge demand for travel. Our agents and customers have been calling out for a tour date, and an opportunity to travel to Japan, as soon as possible, and hence we are so excited to fulfil this with this July tour.” Ms Wu goes on to say: “Our customers will be among the first to visit Japan and to experience the magic of the new Japan at its best. With less crowds in July, it is the perfect time to travel and experience this spectacular country. Having not had any tour groups for so long, the warmth and hospitality that our customers will receive this July will be second to none. The tour is fully inclusive plus we will take care of everything including visas. It really is a monumental tour and an opportunity to be the first travellers back in Japan, after nearly three years.”
Japan will finally open to UK tourist groups on Friday 10 June, ending a ban that was introduced nearly three years ago, as part of the country's virus control program. This important milestone on Friday represents one of the final, and one of the most eagerly anticipated reopening's for international travel. To meet the exceptional demand, Wendy Wu Tours have also added additional capacity for tours throughout autumn 2022 and for March and April 2023, with tours selling out as quick as they go on sale.
The July departure of the fully inclusive 'Jewels of Japan', from £5,690 per person, departs 26 July 2022. In addition, to celebrate Japan's reopening Wendy Wu Tours are offering FREE FLIGHTS TO JAPAN and HALF PRICE FLIGHT SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS on this tour, as well as selected tours across the full Japan touring programme, saving up to £800 per couple, when booked by 30 June 2022. The first couple to book from the UK will be upgraded to higher category rooms at each hotel on the tour.
