Australian Traveller is pleased to announce two new appointments to the Australian Traveller team, with Carla Grossetti coming onboard as a full-time writer and chief sub editor and Emily Murphy joining the digital team as producer and writer.

Australian Traveller managing director Quentin Long says the expansion of the editorial team represents a very exciting development for Australian Traveller. “This is great news for Australian Traveller and International Traveller. It enables us to deliver even more industry-leading content to our readers and fulfil our mission to connect Australians with their next amazing experience better than ever,” says Long.

Long says recruiting new members to the editorial team well and truly jettisons Covid to the rear-view vision mirror. “We're now back to pre-Covid staffing levels and investment in content is critical to our future success. These appointments are going to drive our content leadership even further, cementing our position as the leading travel media company in Australia,” says

Grossetti has been writing about travel since she was first employed by News Ltd as a cadet reporter at the age of 18, and brings more than 25 years of experience to the role of senior writer and chief sub editor. During the past two decades, she has swapped back and forth, between digital and print, writing and editing. She has also been engaged as a sub editor and writer at The Guardian Travel, The Sunday Times' Travel, Conde Nast Traveller and delicious. magazine and been published in Escape, Travel + Luxury and SMH's Traveller.

While former deputy editor Eliza Sholly left the company to pursue a role as a creative strategist, Murphy's experience at Prime Creative Media coupled with her double degree in communications and media studies and international studies leaves her well placed to join the Australian Traveller Media digital team as a writer and producer as it continues to build its subscriber base.
