Award-winning archaeological tour operator Andante Travels (www.andantetravels.co.uk, 01722 713800) will host six Study Days this year that focus on Roman London, each of which is set to be co-led by Dr Simon Elliott – the presenter of a brand new History Hit series on the same theme.

These day-long experiences all take place in London and include special access, lectures and a chance to go on-foot, discovering the sites of Roman Londinium in expert company. Simon is a long-standing contributor to History Hit – an online-only subscriber channel for history fans, founded by Dan Snow – and recently launched a fascinating new and ground-breaking two-part series, Life and Death in Roman London.
