LATAM Airlines Group has been awarded the “Best Airline in South America” in the 18th edition of the Global Traveler GT Tested Reader Survey Awards based on an online survey to the USA-based magazine's readers. In addition to this, LATAM has received four out of five stars in the APEX Passenger Choice ranking, based on voting by customers of more than 600 airlines around the world.
“In an especially challenging year for the industry, our commitment to our customers remains strong thanks to the efforts of our dedicated team. We particularly value these awards as they've come directly from our passengers. These awards give us the momentum to continue improving.” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Clients at LATAM Airlines Group.
The GT Tested Reader Survey Awards was distributed to more than 2 million readers and the APEX award was based on customer ratings of more than 600 airlines around the world, which sorted nearly one million flights on a maximum five-star scale. LATAM Airlines Group received a four-star rating.
These awards are in addition to recognition by Skytrax this year for LATAM's safety and hygiene standards. Additionally, the group recently ranked fourth place worldwide in Standard & Poor's Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) and has positioned itself as the airline with the best sustainability performance in the Americas and Europe.
LATAM offers more destinations and flights than any other airline group in Latin America, reaching more than 125 destinations in 16 countries, including domestic flights in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
