Samuel Dabinett takes the helm at Sydney's luxury harbourside destination

Sydney, Australia - December 2021 – Park Hyatt Sydney is pleased to announce the appointment of Samuel Dabinett as its new general manager effective 3 December 2021. Samuel takes over from former general manager, Marc von Arnim.

South Australian-born Samuel has swapped one remarkable destination for another, joining the team at Park Hyatt Sydney from its sister property, Park Hyatt Seoul in South Korea. He will oversee operations of the award-winning 155-room hotel at Sydney's most desirable address and continue to raise the hotel's benchmark in luxury and quality service.

With a career spanning more than 15 years with Hyatt, Samuel began his entry into hospitality at Hyatt Regency Adelaide, before moving on to rooms management roles across Asia at Park Hyatt Saigon and Park Hyatt Shanghai. In 2012, he took on his inaugural General Manager role at the legendary Roppongi Hills Club in Tokyo before moving into the same position at Park Hyatt Busan in 2016 and Park Hyatt Seoul in 2018.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Australia and joining the team at Park Hyatt Sydney, I look forward to leading the highly professional team of caring associates as the world begins to open up – certainly exciting times ahead! “said Samuel Dabinett, General Manager at Park Hyatt Sydney.

With an enviable location on the very edge of Sydney Harbour, Park Hyatt has long been a favourite with Sydneysiders and international visitors alike. As its new general manager, Samuel will be integral to continuing the development of this iconic hotel and maintaining the high standards that positions it as Sydney's premier luxury hotel.
