#EatSpainDrinkSpain Announce Top Speakers for Nationwide Food and Wine Workshop Series

Foods and Wines from Spain have announced a line-up of UK food and drink experts for its nationwide series of educational workshops.

Kicking off in London on Tuesday 28th September, Sarah Jane Evans MW will lead the #EatSpainDrinkSpain charge with the opening session at Hispania, in the heart of The City. Renowned for her extensive knowledge on Spanish wines and food this first session will be an education in the best gastronomy coming out of the Iberian Peninsula today. Evans follows up, a week later, with a session on Wednesday 6th October at Iberica in Leeds City centre.

On Tuesday the 5th October the #EatSpainDrinks Spain road show makes a stop in Liverpool where Merseyside's leading Spanish specialist and restaurant owner, Peter Kinsella, from Lunya & Lunyalita will be accompanied by wine whizz and journalist Jane Clare from onefootinthegrapes.com.

A week later takes #EatSpainDrinkSpain to Bristol and Cardiff, where food and drink professionals can learn about the myriad selection of Spanish food and wines from chef and Spanish specialist Owen Morgan, owner of the Bar 44 group, on the 12th October at Bar 44, Bristol.

On the 13th October the final workshop will take place in downtown Cardiff where Shumana Palit, expert in Spanish foods and wines and owner of Curado Bar, will be joined by journalist Neil Cammies to host a fascinating two hours on the versatility of Spanish wines and foods. 

Visiting five cities around the UK each workshop will open to buyers, retailers, sommeliers, restaurant and shop-owners and industry professionals in each area, on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 28th September at Hispania, London hosted by Sarah Jane Evans MW
  • Tuesday 5th October at Lunyalita, Liverpool hosted by Jane Clare & Peter Kinsella
  • Wednesday 6th October at Ibérica, Leeds hosted by Sarah Jane Evans MW
  • Tuesday 12th October at Bar 44 Bristol hosted by chef Owen Morgan
  • Wednesday 13th October at Curado, Cardiff hosted by Spanish specialist Shumana Palit & journalist Neil Cammies

The workshops are educational and aim to introduce the food and wine professionals from the off- and on-trade to a broad range of tastes and aromas that will take industry specialists on a food and wine flavour journey across the hills and plains of Spain, showcasing a diverse range of wines and how they match with an array of hams, cheeses, charcuterie and other Spanish foods.
