Following over a decade of success in Las Vegas, internationally acclaimed restaurant SUSHISAMBA is once again reinventing the guest experience with the opening of the stunning new 1,500-square-foot Tree Bar & Lounge at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas.
Known for its unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian culture and cuisine, as well as its passion for music, art and design, the new bar will present a host of inviting dining and drinking experiences. Guests will be immersed from the minute they enter the space, with a striking illuminated tree canopy and a theater-style 125-foot curved bar.
Designed by ICRAVE, the same architectural team behind the original space in 2008, the bar is inspired by the iconic sculptural design of the SUSHISAMBA London Tree Bar but presented in a new, unique and intimate way. The design was created to blend in seamlessly with SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas's strong, structural features, dramatic swirling ribbons and graffiti art. Tree Bar's wooden shell exterior opens to reveal an 'ancient banyan tree' with an orange leaf canopy illuminated by an array of lights. Clad in warm, leather furniture inspired by mid-century modern Brazilian designers, richly textured stones, tropical wood and custom light fixtures, the hidden oasis offers guests an escape from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas.
Under the direction of Corporate Chef John Um and Executive Chef Joel Versola, SUSHISAMBA's menus showcase an inventive culmination of three cuisines. Guests will be treated to signature favorites including Crispy Yellowtail Taquitos, Kanpachi Tiraditos, Chilean Sea Bass Anticuchos and Samba Rolls, in addition to new Tree Bar specific dishes including Lobster Seviche with sweet potato, peruvian corn, coconut leche de tigre, Smoked Wagyuni A5 wagyu with uni, white truffle oil and Peruvian-style Chilled Mussels with sansho salsa.
In addition to the extensive sake and Japanese whisky lists SUSHISAMBA is known for, the high-octane Tree Bar will debut with an expansive list of new cocktails including: Tom Yam with Hendrick's gin, cilantro infusion, chili, lemongrass and lime leaf; Coconut Matcha Sour with toasted coconut washed Suntory Roku gin, coconut cream, ginger, lime and egg white; Coffee & Chocolate Boulevardier with Japanese whisky, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth and chocolate bitters, slow dripped through roasted Peruvian coffee; and Black Cherry Americano with black cherry washed Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, topped with soda.
“Our flagship Las Vegas location has been an institution for over 10 years and the city's evocative nature continually inspires us to push our creativity even further,” said Omar Gutierrez, Orange Brands Management co-CEO. “The new Tree Bar embodies the SUSHISAMBA brand progression as we continue to expand globally.”
SUSHISAMBA Tree Bar is open daily, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. - 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
