Marriott Hotels Launches 'M Passport' Programme in 62 Urban Properties in Asia-Pacific, Bringing Inspirational and Fun Kids Activities to New Destinations

Marriott Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, today announced the roll out of its signature children programme “M Passport”, to an additional of its 62 urban hotels in Asia-Pacific, following the success of the programme launch in its resorts in 2019. M Passport offers a wide range of interactive kid's activities on property and in its neighboring area to encourage children to explore new destinations, ignite sensory stimulations and broaden perspectives.

 Echoing the ethos of Marriott Hotels to inspire brilliance in guests, M Passport is designed to enable young guests to experience a wonderful range of activities that are not just enjoyable, but can also positively stimulate them physically, intellectually and emotionally. The activities and themed challenges keep kids engaged and inspired, while giving parents peace of mind that their children are enjoying themselves during their stay.

For children aged 3 to 13 checking in with parents at participating urban Marriott Hotels, they will receive their very own M Passport wallet that contains a M Passport Activity Map which they can locate a range of fun activities and local destinations in the surrounding area. Once an activity is completed, the child will receive an achievement stamp in their M Passport wallet and each stamp entitles the child to a reward on property, for instance healthy and delicious treats, arts and crafts sets and M Passport kid-friendly mascot, Owen the Owl merchandise.

With the M Passport launched in urban properties, the kids programme is now available in all participating Marriott Hotels resort and urban properties in Asia-Pacific. For resort vacations, young guests can be inspired by interactive activities, for instance, Seashell Art Workshop at Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. For city family travel, kids can explore the destinations with fun experiences including Glow Golf at the soon-to-be-open Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands.

Each Marriott Hotels created the M Passport as a way for kids to explore local destinations during their stay through specially curated pursuits which provide three key benefits:

A Brilliant Body – playful activities which support strong physical growth and enhance motor skills such as taking part in the Fly a Kite activity at The Stadium Tianhe recommended by Guangzhou Marriott Hotel Tianhe. Join the “Future Athlete” session and train with the fitness trainer at Changzhou Marriott Hotel.

A Brilliant Mind – fun and involved activities which stimulate intellectual curiosity and creativity, such as a contemporary art tour at The West Bund Museum with immersive and interactive children activities and experiences featured by Shanghai Marriott Hotel Riverside. Seek to inspire with stories of Singapore at the nation's oldest museum, National Museum of Singapore close to Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza.

A Brilliant Heart – pursuits which encourage positive social interactions and emotional well-being, such as touring around the Tai O fishing village close to Hong Kong Skycity Marriott Hotel and get lost in the alley way of the oldest fishing village in Hong Kong. Explore the Queen Victoria Market, the largest open-air market in the Southern Hemisphere, and get inspired with local produces and handicrafts while staying at Melbourne Marriott Hotel.

Marriott Hotels & Resorts warmly welcomes families with its own kid-friendly mascot, Owen the Owl, which was designed exclusively by Hong Kong children's storybook illustrator Ethel Chow. A special M Passport Family Fun Package is now being offered at all participating Marriott Hotels in Asia Pacific.
