May Blossoms - as Does the Cotswolds Property Market

Butler Sherborn

“With the weather warming up and lockdown starting to ease, we are experiencing one of the strongest residential property markets for a decade here in the Cotswolds,” says Sam Butler of Butler Sherborn.

“We have seen a 30% uptick in buyers registering with us during January and March versus the same period last year, viewings up 35% last month and 40% of those viewing making offers.  There is no doubt that the desire to move to the country along with low stock levels are fuelling this, and in many cases properties are selling privately before they are even announced for sale, and often above the asking price,” adds Sam.

Whether you are looking for your primary residence, second home or holiday let, something to move straight into, a 'doer-upper' or a development project, Butler Sherborn currently has several options, but good properties are selling quickly!  Here is a selection from £300,000 to £1.25million.

The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds are located in the heart of England and within the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Wiltshire.  It is the largest designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales, and very roughly starts to the east of Gloucester and Cheltenham in the west, runs up to just below Evesham in the north, includes parts of West Oxfordshire where Burford is known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds, and south to the Cotswold Water Park a few miles beyond Cirencester, the former Roman city and Capital of the Cotswolds.

With excellent road and rail communications - London, Bristol and Birmingham are all around an hour by train - the area has become popular with those moving out of the city or wanting second homes to escape at weekends.
