Better Days Are Coming: Industry leading experience commerce platform EASOL to unveil in depth trend report
Easol is the first of its kind - an all-in-one 'experience commerce' platform that offers everything experience creators (across wellness, sports, adventure, festivals, F&B and more) need to take control of all aspects of their business.
On April 15th at 3pm UTC, Easol is to host a live online showcase event that unveils 'Better Days Are Coming - how the world is going to travel in 2021 and beyond', the first in a series of experience economy trend reports that have been commissioned by the platform to provide key insights on consumer travel and experiences in a post-pandemic world. The showcase event will also feature live demos, stories from Easol's community of experience creators and ideas to help experience creators connect and grow.
The 'Better Days Are Coming' experience economy trend report will predict the top trends in travel and experiences in 2021 and beyond based on statistics. In compiling the report, more than 3000 consumers have been surveyed across the UK, Europe and North America. The report itself includes case studies on businesses that have been born during lockdown, as well as those that have managed to survive against the odds. It includes six different trends ranging from how the sector will evolve, how to build consumer confidence, how to adapt and what the future holds.
One of the key stats to come from the report states that, when asked what type of holiday respondents would go on if they were only allowed one trip, over 85% said they would choose an experience holiday and 86% are planning to go on an experience holiday of some sort in 2021. Festivals and active group holidays top the list of experiences respondents are most likely to go on. 77.4% of us would still be comfortable joining a group holiday with people outside our household in 2021.
Ben Simpson, CEO of Easol said:
"It is an unprecedented time for experience creators who have seen huge challenges, but as we emerge from lockdown, this new-era holds enormous opportunity for experience businesses. We are only on the cusp of what is the greatest demand we have ever seen to travel and have these 'kinetic', 'in real life' experiences we have been craving for what feels like a lifetime! Experience creators have never had to be so agile and adapt for their businesses to survive and we hope this report provides some hope and useful insights to anyone operating in the experience economy and we look forward to sharing more insights and positive stories in the near future."
This information follows a recently published McKinsey report, which notes that tours and activities have been one of the fastest-growing categories for venture-capital investment across the entire travel market, indicating strong post-pandemic confidence in the sector. It concludes that once people can travel in groups again, there will be a high demand for these experiences, which is good news for both creators and consumers in the year ahead.
At the event, experts from the global experience creator communities in the worlds of festivals, wellness and sports will share stories and proven growth tactics. There will be a wealth of new and exciting Easol platform updates and features demoed live to offer even more insight into how to grow your business. The full report will be released to all showcase attendees and promises to offer comprehensive analysis of the sector and provide real direction to those involved in the industry.
Easol is the new way to sell experiences online. For the first time ever, experience businesses from yoga retreats, surf camps, festivals, sports trips and adventure tours will never have to outsource their business to traditional e-commerce platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix), booking platforms (Eventbrite, active.com) or experience marketplaces (GetYourGuide, Airbnb) which are not viable solutions, offering ineffective services that are more costly, vulnerable to errors, significantly more time consuming with more manual processes and ultimately cap the business' potential growth.
Despite an extremely challenging year for the experience economy, Easol has seen staggering growth after recently securing more than $4.5m in funding from world-class technology investors like Notion Capital with participation from Y Combinator, Foundation Capital, Slow Ventures and Micheal Zeisser - former Chairman of US investments at Alibaba. After the initial vaccine announcement, the company also saw its largest ever month in booking and processing volume, which was up 25% from pre-pandemic figures.
Easol supports creators all over the globe across all experience sectors including festivals, wellness retreats, F&B, sports, adventure trips and more. Clients include major industry players such as Ibiza Rocks, Global Cycle Network, The Sunday Times, and Envision Festival. The platform has secured these high end clients by providing them with complete control of all aspects of their experience business. In turn, this allows them to focus on driving more direct sales, retain more revenue, own their data and run their business on their terms.
As we sit on the crest of a wave, the consumer demand for experiences has never been greater. There has never been a better time for experience creators to take back control of their business and truly fulfil their potential. Easol is the proven and perfect partner to help make that happen.

About Easol:
Easol is the first of its kind all-in-one 'experience commerce' platform built to support experience businesses globally, across all sectors including festivals, wellness retreats, food and drink, sports and adventure trips. With Easol, experience businesses have complete control to drive more direct sales, retain more revenue, own their data and run their business on their terms.

In just three years, the company has acquired an impressive customer base, with major industry players including Ibiza Rocks, Global Cycle Network, The Sunday Times, and Envision Festival now using Easol to manage and grow their experience business. The company has raised an impressive $4.5 Million, led by Notion Capital with participation from Y Combinator, Foundation Capital, Slow Ventures and Micheal Zeisser - former Chairman of US investments at Alibaba. Easol's mission is to be the first experience commerce platform that puts the technology, the ownership and the possibilities in the hands of the experience creator.
