This means that travellers to Sri Lanka can now head straight to Talalla House, beginning their luxury holiday straight away without the need for prior quarantine elsewhere. As Sri Lanka opens its doors to the world once again, everything has been done to make the island getaway as safe, secure and serene as possible. 

About Talalla House

Talalla House in Dickwella is the tropical hideaway you've been dreaming about. A glorious, modern beach house, with private gated access to Talalla, a perfect golden sweep of sandy beach stretching in front of the house for a kilometre. Between the house and the beach is an infinity pool and a lush tropical garden.

An open plan living area opens fully to the deck and pool beyond. Lounge on the enormous sofas overlooking the ocean and marvel at the view - all bedrooms also look out across fabulous undisturbed ocean vistas. Two of the bedroom suites even have bathtubs on their balconies for a soak with a view! There are seven bedrooms in total, though currently the house is offered on a five bedroom basis, for a maximum of 10 adults and two small children sharing with parents.

Guests can practise yoga in the covered, open air yoga shala, or enjoy a morning swim in the ocean before enjoying a delicious breakfast of the freshest local produce, cooked by Talalla House's private chef. Total bliss.

On the rooftop, a 30 metre long roof garden overlooks both the beach and the open ocean. This rooftop garden has a small bar and lounge chairs and at the far end, a vegetable and spice garden. This is the place to be for sunset drinks and a toast to travel beginning again.

About Sri Lanka's Safe & Secure Level 1 Certification

Sri Lanka's Safe & Secure Level 1 properties have completed an audit by an independent firm and are continually assessed. They can provide accommodation for international tourists from the first day of their stay in Sri Lanka. Tourists must spend their first 14 nights (or the full duration of their holiday if shorter than 14 nights) staying at Level 1 properties. Tourists can visit up to 14 approved tourist sites during that time, under the safety of a bio bubble. They must arrive with a negative PCR test result taken within 96 hours before their arrival and take two futher tests on day 1 and day 10 of their stay.
