HF Holidays Launches NEW Walking & Activity holiday brochure for 2021/22

Leading walking holidays tour operator HF Holidays has launched its latest collection of exciting new Walking & Activity holidays for 2021. There are 4 brand new trips, an additional family holiday destination and a brand-new style of guided walking 'Tread Lightly' to add to an already diverse collection of holidays, offering even more choice and flexibility to guests.  This year's edition also includes Family Adventures, Group Holidays and winter sun walking into early 2022!

The new holiday additions offer guests the chance to explore remote islands of Scotland and explore new trails, all designed to give the very best experience of each chosen destination. The new guided walking style 'Tread Lightly' makes the most of the wonderful walking areas which surround our houses, with all walks starting and ending at their front doors with no need for any road transfers.  Dovedale, Peveril of the Peak in the Peak District is a welcome addition to the Family Walking Adventures collection, now making a total of 8 UK country houses and 2 European destinations, offering active escapades for families.

WHAT'S NEW?

Trails & Island Hopping –These are walks which will be enjoyed by serious walkers who have suitable stamina and fitness – but without the need to carry anything more than a daypack! All holidays are on a full board basis and include an HF Holidays Walking Leader or Local Guide, transport and luggage transfers (as indicated) and made up of small group sizes: maximum 16.

NEW Mull & Iona

This new Island Hopping experience reveals to guests some of the finest scenery of any of the Scottish islands. The itinerary of 35 miles over 5 walking days, delivers walks to enjoy and explore wild landscapes of white sand beaches and towering mountains. The thrill of spotting wildlife such as Sea otters, Golden eagle, White-tailed eagle and Red deer as you visit four unique islands; Mull, Iona, Staff and Ulva, and the chance to tick off Ben More (Mull's only Munro) Plus the final 3 nights are a true escape, spent on the mystical island of Iona – a unique chance to experience the island after the day trippers have gone!

NEW Cairngorms North

This guided trail is made up of hand-picked walks which cross the northern section of the Cairngorms National Park. A truly fantastic destination to visit in the Autumn – voted as one of Lonely Planet's best places to see the autumn colours, June offers the chance to see Ospreys in flight.  Walking routes favour the lower lying areas to give an introduction to this stunning area and enjoy the glorious views of the UK's second highest mountain range. There are whisky trails, wild glens, ancient native woodlands, exciting wildlife, crashing

waterfalls and wilderness lochs to enjoy. The holiday rounds off with a trip to a distillery to sample a wee dram or two on the Speyside Way!

NEW Best Isle of Arran

This is a truly fantastic addition to HF's Island Hopping collection. Arran has a circumference of just 56 miles and known as Scotland in miniature, home to majestic mountains, cracking coastline, ancient sites, plentiful wildlife and its own distillery. The hand-picked walks here will cover its range of scenery including the option to climb Goatfell for superb views across the island. NEW Hadrian's Wall Complete

HF Holidays are delighted to now offer the complete trail of 86 miles over 6 days crosses the breadth of England walking coast to coast from west to east along the entire length of Hadrian's Wall National Trail, following the northern most frontier of the Roman Empire. Along the way, guests can absorb the dramatic scenery and marvel at the engineering prowess of the Romans who built signal towers, forts and turrets which are still evident today. live in and 'leave no trace'. Our Country Houses are in stunning surroundings with a variety

of landscapes and these new walks ensure that we capture the beauty of our surroundings

on every walk. These walks also provide increased flexibility for walking groups, enabling guests to spend a few more minutes taking in their favourite view in the glorious sunshine!
