Australia's multi award-winning 'Best Distillery Experience', the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, is set to re-open its doors from Monday 24th August.
Guests will once again be able to cross the country's best distillery experience off their bucket list and visit the home of the iconic Bundy R Bear, as the Queensland Government continues to ease lockdown restrictions.
The Bundaberg Rum Visitor Experience will re-commence its iconic Distillery tour, with phone and online pre-bookings now open. In line with the current Queensland Government directives, visitor tours will have limited capacity, with a maximum of 20 guests allowed on each 'Distillery Experience' tour.
Visitors are encouraged to attend with friends, family and loved ones, and take a journey deep into the heart of the working Distillery. The Bundy Distillery Guides will showcase the 5 million litre-capacity molasses well, and share some of the secrets behind fermenting, distilling and maturing Australia's favourite locally-made spirit, before inviting guests to sample any of the top shelf rums in the range.
Duncan Littler, Bundaberg Rum D2C Marketing & Experience Manager, says: “We always love welcoming people to the Distillery, but now more so than ever. We're thrilled to be able to share our world-class rum with our guests at Bundaberg Rum's iconic home, particularly in a year that we have again been recognised at the Australian Tourism Awards as Best Distillery Experience.”
“The health and safety of our staff and guests is of our utmost concern, so visitors can be reassured we'll be taking all the necessary measures needed to ensure they can enjoy their experience with family and friends as well as our award-winning rum in a safe environment. We look forward to seeing you!”
The Bundaberg Rum Distillery saw off national competition to claim Gold as Best Distillery for the second year running at the Australian Tourism Awards in March, and was the only distillery recognised within the 2019 awards. The consistent wins have firmly established the Bundaberg Rum Distillery as Australia's most awarded rum distillery, and a must-see tourist attraction.
