Luxury travel company, Red Savannah has been recognised in The Queen's Awards for Enterprise in the International Trade category. The Queen's Awards are awarded annually by Her Majesty The Queen and represent the United Kingdom's highest business accolade. Red Savannah's award recognises outstanding achievement in the development of international trade.
The company was established in 2011 by George Morgan-Grenville and delivers beautifully planned tailor-made journeys to Asia, Africa, Europe, Antarctica, the Americas and Australasia, as well as access to a stunning portfolio of luxury villas in Europe and the Caribbean. Every travel designer has a minimum of ten years' experience within the industry – indeed many have well over 20 - and they possess some of the finest address books in the business from Kings to Concierges.
The award will be officially presented by the Lord Lieutenant for Gloucestershire later this year, and further celebrated with a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace.
With international sales increasing at an average rate of 31% annually since inception, Founder & CEO, George Morgan-Grenville, puts the company's success down to the extraordinary knowledge of its team, which in turn, has generated a continually high level of repeat and referral business.
“We started in 2011 with ten staff and not a single client. It was a terrifying prospect that went against all the norms of establishing a new business. But we exploited a gap in the market for a highly customised global travel company that was driven by knowledge, passion and an entirely different approach to planning & delivering experiential travel. Nine years later we have created a multi-million pound business employing 26 local people and supporting numerous businesses both locally, and in developing countries ”
– George Morgan-Grenville, CEO & Founder
“I am delighted that Her Majesty the Queen has approved the Prime Minister's recommendation that Red Savannah should receive a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. This is great news for Cheltenham and my congratulations to George Morgan-Grenville and the whole team at Red Savannah.”
– Alex Chalk MP, Member of Parliament for Cheltenham and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice
