The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited appoints Four to promote PR activity to UK & Irish markets

The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL) has appointed Four Communications as its new PR consultancy in the UK and Ireland following a competitive tender.

The travel division of Four will work closely with the head office team in Tobago as well as with the Agency's UK trade team to develop a campaign that encapsulates the destination's key messages of 'unspoilt, untouched, undiscovered'  within the brand strategy for the UK market.

Mr Louis Lewis, CEO at Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd., commented: “We want a campaign that appeals to the heart and mind of UK travellers and encourages them to travel to our beautiful island. Four's travel team impressed us with their creative flair, strategic thinking, and of course their expertise.”

The campaign will aim to increase tourist arrivals from the UK by focussing on niche interest groups such as weddings and honeymoons, birding, adventurers, water sports and diving; targeting the UK traveller who is looking for more than just a beach.  Also in the immediate term the Four team will be supporting the TTAL's post Covid recovery programme, building awareness of the #dreamingofTobago social media campaign and generating a desire to travel.

“We are proud and delighted to be working with the Tobago Tourism Agency”, said Helen Coop, Four's managing director, travel. “The island really is a slice of paradise, with so much waiting to be discovered by the UK traveller; we are really looking forward to sharing Tobago's story.”

About Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL)

The island of Tobago is part of the twin-island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and is located in the south eastern Caribbean. The island is located at latitude 11º N, and longitude 60º W and is approximately 90 miles northwest of Barbados. The landscape is mountainous with the highest point being 3,145 feet.

Tobago enjoys a warm tropical climate, tempered by north-east trade winds, with an average daytime temperature of 29º C (83º F) and maxima in the mid-30s. The wet season is from June to November, but the rain usually falls in short, intense bursts whilst most days have lots of sunshine. The early months of the year are drier. Fortunately, the islands are outside the usual path of hurricanes.
