Spearheaded by renowned interior design firm Hassell, the refreshed space brings to life a vision of 'Ban Zu', a settlement historically documented as a safe haven for settlers in Singapore dating back to the 14th Century, named after the Malay term 'pancur' meaning 'spring of water'.  An apt concept for the hotel's boozy waterhole, WOOBAR welcomes guests into a lapping paradise laced with quirky design elements throughout. For instance, try your eye in spotting the six golden hippopotamus statues that support the geometrically enthralling marbled DJ console. Inextricably entwined with its tropical milieu, the main bar stands proudly beneath the whimsical cover of a resplendent ivory canopy, backed by lush edges interweaved with specula panels, doubling as a perfect backdrop for the coveted Instagram snapshot.

Unlike its nightlife-centric antecedent, the revitalised space adopts an intrinsically dual approach in embracing the day to night needs of our guests. With ample power sockets lining its perimeter, the shield of abstract panels impeding distraction, and natural sunlight flooding in throughout the day, the venue strikes the liminal space between sophisticated practicality and stylish comfort in the most impeccable manner.
