IHG® (InterContinental Hotel Group) announces the soft opening of InterContinental® Phuket Resort in a multi-religious ceremony as it welcomes its first paying guest, Khun Jaraspim Liptapanlop. Inspired by Phuket's natural landscape, InterContinental Phuket Resort will be a tribute to Thailand's rich heritage and modern contemporary lifestyle, marking the luxury brand's debut in Phuket. Scheduled to open officially on 1 September 2019, the new sanctuary for discerning travellers will offer a collection of 221 elegantly appointed rooms and villas on the pristine Kamala Beach, also known as the Millionaire's Mile. A thoughtfully curated collection of gourmet experiences, wellness rituals and event venues against the stunning backdrop of Phuket's rainforested mountain range makes InterContinental Phuket Resort an ideal destination for both leisure and business travellers alike.
With a perfect beach-front location near the protected northern cove of Kamala Beach, InterContinental Phuket Resort evokes a sense of serenity in a natural landscape of lush forested hills where white powdery sand meet the azure waters of Andaman Sea. The resort offers integrated recreational facilities that cater to all travellers' requirements. As a mark of distinction, the expansive Club InterContinental lounge experience features a second-floor beach vista frontage, indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as a large private sundeck and infinity pool. Sati Spa and Wellness®, an InterContinental Phuket spa, embraces its verdant natural surroundings. It offers eight treatment rooms, a Duet Suite with Jacuzzi and full service nail salon. Sati Spa uses HARNN's natural body care, skin care and home spa products from Thailand.
Culinary exploration takes on a new dimension at InterContinental Phuket Resort. All four restaurants and bars are committed to sustainability and respect for local farmers using traditional recipes with a modern touch. Pinto, the resort's all-day dining restaurant, takes its inspiration from Old Phuket Town and quirky shophouse eateries. Jaras, the signature Thai destination restaurant, celebrates sustainably sourced products from the island's fishermen and farmers. Pine is an upscale barefoot beach bar and lounge offering the best sunset view in Phuket. The resort's pièce de résistance, Heavenly Pavilion Lounge is inspired by the mythical Himmapan Forest with its white and silver tones, Monta flower chandelier and sculpted creatures. Here, Sawan Beans and Leaves Bar serves handpicked wild grown teas from Chiang Mai, single origin small batch roasted coffee from local farmers and the finest chocolate made from organic Thai cacao.
