TravMedia delivers 292 journalists and 222 PR exhibitors to this year's event.
TravMedia's IMM has continued to break its own records as the leading global event connecting the travel industry and media, in the event's first year featuring dedicated exhibitor stands.
A record 292 journalists checked in to the London event which attracted 220 PR professionals representing over 160 tourist boards, tour operators, hotels, attractions and other travel industry brands.
This year's IMM (http://www.travmedia.com/immuk/) also featured an expanded show footprint and a seated lunch, as TravMedia took over further floors of London's prestigious QEII Centre.
Exhibitors enjoyed up to 28 pre-booked meetings with top travel journalists, editors and broadcasters, with over 8500 unique meetings booked in advance through IMM's Meetings Manager platform.
Media titles in attendance included The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, BBC, The Sun, CNN Travel, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Wanderlust, TTG and Travel Weekly.
Some 29 of France's regions, cities and visitor attractions created a powerful delegation for the country, with their presence orchestrated by Atout France. The USA weighed in with a mighty 37 brands while Canada produced 10 exhibitors.
Brands who joined IMM 2019 included destinations such as Friuli Venezia Giulia Tourism Board, Visit SLO CAL, Tourism Lanzarote and Visit Cornwall, together with wider industry brands including DFDS, Hand Picked Hotels, Caribtours, Cosmos Tours & Cruises, KE Adventure Travel and Interrail.
Sponsors were Atout France, Calgary Stampede, CityPASS, Tourism Australia, VisitEngland and Visit Wales.
Said Henry Hemming, TravMedia UK's Managing Director: “IMM entered a new era today. Exhibitors responded warmly to the intimacy and branding impact of private booths, together with networking over a seated lunch.
“Journalist turnout was sky high, for which thanks to all media who attended – we loved having you there. IMM has certainly come a long way since we launched the concept in London in 2013.”
