TravMedia is delighted to announce that two renowned French journalists' associations, the AJT (French association of travel journalists) and the Press Club de France, which gathers journalists and opinion leaders around high-level information, are partners of the first French edition of the IMM (International Media Marketplace) event, to be held on 12 March 2019 at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel.

TravMedia announced last week the support of another prestigious French partner, AccorHotels.

Launched in 2013, IMM is now recognized internationally as the main networking event between tourism industry stakeholders and the media. During this day, tourism stakeholders welcome to their table, journalists from print, online and audiovisual media to discuss their news, events and innovations in a very effective format, with 22 meetings of 15 minutes each scheduled in advance.

"We are very proud to be supported by two prestigious associations of French journalists, the AJT and the Press Club de France. IMM is a unique opportunity for journalists to meet a wide variety of tourism stakeholders in a single day and to plan many reports. Indeed, appointments are scheduled in advance according to the choices submitted by exhibitors and accredited journalists. The people who meet have shown a common interest, which allows them to quickly launch concrete projects," said Nick Wayland, CEO and founder of TravMedia.

“For travel journalists as we are, any new type of meeting is an opportunity to seize. It is therefore with a curious mind and in constant quest for information that the AJT is pleased to be associated with this first French edition of IMM," continued Evelyne Dreyfus, President of the AJT.

"Supporting the first edition of IMM France was immediately obvious. This initiative opens a new path towards a new way of approaching press relations that is more targeted, more direct and therefore more effective for journalists and communicators," concluded Isabelle Bourdet, Director of the Press Club de France.

The AJT was created late 1997 from the merger of two French journalists' associations: the APJT (association of travel journalists) and the AJP (association of outdoor journalists). The AJT now gathers 150 travel journalists, working for more than 200 print media for the general public, business, professional and specialized media, as well as radio, television and online media, photo and press agencies. The AJT includes editors, freelancers, photo reporters and editors-in-chief. They are supported by 220 partner press officers.

The Press Club de France is both the "House" of journalists, a neutral place where you can hear the "pulse of the profession" and a platform of services and meetings for managers of companies, institutions, embassies and local authorities. Nearly 660 members (397 journalists and 263 executives) joined it to share their experience and ideas in a spirit of open-mindedness that is now recognized by all.

The Press Club gathers journalists and opinion leaders around high-level information. It "deciphers current events with those who make them". Journalists, politicians and business leaders follow one another every month in the Club's gallery. More than 40 debates and events are organized per year and proposed to members.

The Press Club de France has created the European Federation and the International Association of Press Clubs, which bring together 40 Clubs to create a network that ensures its international influence.
