(Algarve, Portugal November 2018) Situated amid 2,000 acres of the picturesque Ria Formosa National Park, Quinta do Lago has announced the official opening of its latest evolution, The Campus.

The Campus is a unique €10 million training, fitness and wellness facility catering to elite, professional athletes and enthusiastic amateurs alike.

Built in two phases over two years and designed by architects Essência Criativa, the first phase of The Campus development was finalised last summer, complete with tennis and padel courts, and The Bike Shed.

This month, Quinta do Lago celebrates the completion of the second phase of The Campus which includes the addition of a high-performance sports and fitness training centre.

 In what is a nod to its credentials as a world-class multisport venue, The Campus has already been utilised for specialist training by a number of professional athletes and premier sports teams.  It was chosen as a pre-season training base by the British Paratriathlon Elite Team this year, and has welcomed teams such as Olympic Marseille, Burnley FC, Beijing Sinobo Guoan and Croatia National Team.

 Autumn activities at The Campus include health and nutrition workshops; a wide variety of yoga workshops, including one to specifically tackle hormone imbalance; fitness training for mobility; and barre, core, Pilates classes and weekly social spins with The Bike Shed guides.
