One-day Conference, Marketplace and Awards To Take Place at QEII Centre 26 March 2019
sit-UP (www.situpevent.com), a brand new event connecting the travel industry with influencers, has been announced by TravMedia UK.
The day-long show takes place on Tuesday 26 March 2019 at the QEII Centre in Westminster, and will combine a morning conference, afternoon marketplace and evening after-party featuring a new influencer awards ceremony.
sit-UP takes centre stage at the QEII the day after the venue hosts IMM – also created by TravMedia UK - the market-leading event connecting the travel industry with the media, attended by almost 200 travel brands and over 300 journalists in 2018.
Moderator and guest speaker at sit-Up will be Alex Hunter, former global Head of Online for Virgin Group, overseeing its global digital strategy and Sir Richard Branson's personal digital outreach. Alex is now a speaker, investor and an award-winning vlogger with the show Attaché.
Other speakers include Emma Mead, Head of Global PR, VisitBritain and VisitEngland; Philip Trippenbach, Head of Influencer, Edelman London, and Sumandeep Sohi, Investigations Executive, Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). They are joined by top influencers including David Reilly (Life of Reilly); Julie Falconer (A Lady in London); Karen Beddow (MiniTravellers); Paul Johnson (A Luxury Travel Blog), and Sian Lewis (The Girl Outdoors).
In the afternoon, attention turns to the Travel Influencer Marketplace, sit-UP's three-hour networking marathon, where influencers hold meetings at the branded exhibition stands of sit-UP delegate brands.
The evening plays host to a glamorous after-party and the inaugural sit-UP Awards, with top influencer campaigns by travel brands celebrated alongside the individual achievements of influencers. The evening climaxes with the announcement of the Influencer of the Year.
