Lane Cove to City Ferry a Great Alternative to Train and Traffic Congestion

Captain Cook Cruises

With the impending closure of the Epping train line and traffic into the city already at a standstill, why not travel to work from Lane Cove into the city in relaxed comfort on a fast Captain Cook Cruises Lane Cove rocket ferry.

According to Anthony Haworth, General Manager of Captain Cook Cruises, “With the closure of the Epping to Chatswood train line at the end of September our Lane Cove to City rocket ferry is the perfect transport option for commuters from the Lower North Shore and Northwest.”

“Our ferries offer a fantastic service that is reliable and fast and is much more scenic and relaxing than battling Sydney's congested traffic conditions.” Continues Mr Haworth.

Operating Monday to Friday, early morning and evening ferry services transport commuters between Hunters Hill, Longueville, Northwood, Greenwich, Birchgrove, North Sydney, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. Special school services also operate during selected private school terms.

The ferry takes only 30 minutes from Hunters Hill or to the City and morning services run between 7.00am and 9.00am and afternoon/evening services from the City to Lane Cove between 5.00pm and 7.30pm.

The Lane Cove to City ferry is priced $7.40 one way for adults of $3.70 for children 4-15 yrs.

Multi-trip eTravelPasses are priced from $6.00 per trip and available in 11-trip, 15-trip and 33-trip options.

The ticketless pass is quick and easy for commuters to use. Simply visit the App Store or Google Play Store on any mobile device, download the Captain Cook Cruises app, create an account, purchase the desired Commuter eTravelPass and then show the e-ticket to the deckhand when boarding.

A separate account, mobile device and eTravelPass is required for each passenger.
