The Hotel Gasthof Post is an institution in the beautiful alpine town of Lech. The atmosphere of the hotel has grown from a long family tradition by transforming a strong, proud farmhouse into an extraordinary luxury hotel without giving up on the authentic “country” charm.

Recently renovated, the new Postblick-Restaurant will run under the 32-year old Tyrolean, Head Chef David Wagger, who will head-up the restaurant's brigade from December 2018 onwards.  Chef Wagger's signature dish is a White foam soup of grape tomato served with scallop, basil and cottage cheese ravioli, he will also develop a special Gala Christmas menu:

  • Guests of the hotel and Non-guests may attend the Christmas Gala dinner which includes a three-course menu with wines and soft drinks and a special 3 course children's menu including drinks until the dessert. (Dessert wines and drinks*Additional tariff)

Also within the hotel is the traditional hunting lodge-style “Jägerstube” where you can also enjoy the creative cuisine of new chef David Wagger. Kutscherstube, the “inn” of the hotel serves Austrian culinary delights where hotel guests can enjoy their half-board option in a charming setting. The bar, which is named after the US writer Ludwig Bemelmans, who was a loyal regular guest until the late fifties, will delight you with fine spirits, exquisite cocktails or selected wines and champagne, perfect from après ski to midnight.

  • The Midweek packages are available between Sunday and Friday, bookable from Sunday 2 December. They include a three night stay with half-board, one massage treatment and a ski pass for two days from: £890 per person * Subject to availability

The ambition for culinary recognition is high for Hotel Gasthof Post, as Lech has the highest Gault Millau toque density per inhabitant. The entire kitchen brigade under David Wagger is looking forward to pampering guests with their culinary art, which means the best products from the region, with respect for tradition but openness for cosmopolitan trends. Chef David Wagger has created, together with his team, true feel-good dishes for the coming season. Traditional recipes from Austrian cuisine will take centre stage, albeit in a more sophisticated and lighter manner than in the past so as to offer a true fine dining experience. Plus for the usage of products from near regions in Austria Hotel Gasthof Post are distinguished with the AMA Gastrosiegel. Plus by creating everything fresh from local ingredients the Hotel Gasthof Post can cater for all food allergies, intolerances and preferences, from Gluten free to Vegan.
