Amorevore Food & Arts Festival

Amorevore Festival launches in Ibiza on October 26-28 with a compelling blend of gastronomy, talks, art, music, film and performance for the 'epicurious'.

The festival highlights Ibiza's growing status as an artisanal food destination and offers fresh insights into global food issues. Guided by sustainable principles, Amorevore unites a collective of producers and chefs with world-renowned speakers and facilitators for an event like no other.

"Amorevore is about celebrating what comes from the heart – the love of food, the love of creating in community and the love of shared knowledge and experience," says founder Jenna Ansell. Ansell has produced numerous events in collaboration with international festivals and companies including Wilderness, Bristol Food Connections, Secret Garden Party, the BBC and Slow Food.

Her new project Amorevore is a multisensory culinary journey co-curated by River Café alumnus, broadcaster and environmentalist Rory Spowers. In partnership with the acclaimed Grupo Mambo, the family-friendly festival is hosted in the group's boutique rural hotel Casa Maca. The 300-year-old farmhouse, surrounded by tranquil lavender fields and almond, carob and fig trees, has spectacular views of Ibiza's UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town Dalt Vila.

Cutting-Edge Cultural Programme

Optimal Being, The Future of Heritage and New ERA (Entrepreneurism, Regeneration and Activism) are Amorevore's three themes, each explored on a different day in the Symposium. Craft bars, farmers' markets and vibrant street food will showcase Ibiza's artisanal gastronomic scene throughout. Exceptional producers and chefs working sustainably will present culinary delights, with hands-on workshops, activities for children and adults and talks by international experts providing a unique platform for interactive learning.

Fantastical Feasting

At the heart of the festival are elaborate five-course feasts crafted from local seasonal produce with paired wines. Set at long-table banquets in romantic flower-filled orchards, each meal combines inventive gastronomy with the creative spirit of Ibiza. Surprise pleasures, live performances and a magical ambience make for extraordinary experiences.

Feasts also take place at partner venues across the island from October 24-28 as part of the Feasting Programme. A pop-up dinner by Campo Comida takes place on October 24, with Design Hotels' boutique retreat La Granja hosting Amorevore's official opening on October 25. Further events are lined up at La Paloma restaurant and Ca'n Pere Mussona organic farm. The festival closes with a feast at Ibiza Food Studio's La Finca restaurant, run by Noma alumnus Boris Buono, on October 28.

Craft Drinks Collective

Amorevore will showcase delicious craft beverages, including the ancient Ibizan liqueur Hierbas, biodynamic and natural wines and craft beers from Spain, Mexican mezcal, and Japanese sake. Guided by expert connoisseurs, guests can explore the unique flavours and cultural heritage of these beverages through special tastings and events.

Wild Walks

Walks exploring Ibiza's array of wild foods take place from October 22-28 in collaboration with Walking Ibiza. Each walk celebrates the island's farmers, producers and ancient food heritage, and includes tastings of local food and drink. From mushroom foraging to rural restaurant walks and food tours of Dalt Vila, all offer an insider guide to the island's natural treasures. Select walks also feature a chef's table experience.

Unique Learning Platform

Amorevore's juicy panel discussions, talks and debates will explore innovative solutions to critical food-related issues. International experts include Graham Hancock, Jair Tellez, Gill Meller, Jasmine Hemsley, Tristram Stuart, Zoe Adjonyoh, Helena Norberg-Hodge, Valentine Warner, David Reartes, Vicent Torres, Anna Greenland, Justin Alexander Horne and Anne Sijmonsbergen. All will share views on environmental, cultural, health, political and economic aspects of the food industry.

Grassroots seminars for food and drink business start-ups are designed to engage and excite the next generation of entrepreneurs. Seminars will explore ethical business initiatives, mentorships and working with local producers.

Art, Music and Live Performance

Amorevore features a packed line-up of pioneering artworks and visual displays, live music and performance, plus film screenings of independent food films. The festival will also host the inspirational We Feed The World exhibition by The Gaia Foundation, showcasing images by award-winning photographers including Rankin, Sebastião Salgado and Martin Parr.

Sustainability Commitment

Sustainability is key to Amorevore's ethos. In partnership with the non-profit Love Ibiza Now, festival initiatives include reducing waste, banning single-use plastics on-site and providing recycling education. Cleanwave water towers will also filter water on-site to use in refillable bottles.

"The earth is going through a huge shift and our land and food systems are at the centre of this," says Ansell. "Gatherings like Amorevore are important in navigating this shift – we aim to make a tangible impact and leave a legacy that positively informs food policy and business in Ibiza and beyond."
