VisitGuernsey and STUDIOCANAL are pleased to announce that THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY – starring Lily James and directed by Mike Newell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) – will be available on Digital Download from 20th August 2018 and on Blu-ray and DVD from 27th August 2018. The film, based on the best-selling novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, is available to pre-order now at http://scnl.co/GuernseyHE.

Lily James plays free-spirited writer Juliet Ashton, who forms a life-changing bond with the delightful and eccentric Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, when she decides to write about the book club they formed during the occupation of Guernsey in WWII.

The film also stars Glen Powell (Everybody Wants Some, Hidden Figures), Matthew Goode (The Imitation Game, Downton Abbey), Jessica Brown Findlay (Victor Frankenstein, Downton Abbey) and Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd, The Boat That Rocked) with Tom Courtenay (45 Years, Doctor Zhivago) and Penelope Wilton (The BFG, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel).

Extras on the home entertainment versions include 'The History Behind the Film: The Occupation of Guernsey' featuring interviews with veterans of the island's occupation during WWII, filmed in Guernsey. They also include a 'Book to Screen' featurette as well as cast and crew interviews with Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Jessica Brown Findlay, director Mike Newell and writer Annie Barrows.

Fans can visit the island that inspired the film with various tour operator packages and take advantage of themed guided tours that follow in the footsteps of 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society'.

FlyGuernsey.com offers a four-night package in October from £289 per person, with return flights from London Gatwick, transfers, breakfast, two course dinner on the first evening and a half day Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society-themed tour.  The price includes accommodation at Saints Bay Hotel in St Martin – the parish where the characters lived in the novel.  For more information visit: www.flyguernsey.com/the-guernsey-literary-and-potato-peel-pie-society
