KANDIMA MALDIVES SCOOPS 3 WORLD LUXURY RESTAURANT AWARDS

Maldives, 24 July 2018: Kandima Maldives' two à la carte restaurants Sea Dragon and Smoked pick up three World Luxury Restaurant Awards in celebration of their culinary excellence this year.

Among the Kool 2018 World Luxury Restaurant Awards are:

  1. Indian Ocean Top Luxury Grill - Smoked Restaurant
  2. Indian Ocean Top Luxury Steakhouse - Smoked Restaurant
  3. Indian Ocean Top Chinese Cuisine Restaurant - Sea Dragon Restaurant

Launched in 2016, World Luxury Restaurant Awards™ inspires excellence and ignites healthy competition in the Luxury Restaurant Industry. The competition enables restaurants from all over the world to compete in their chosen category, from a list of 84 categories.

Kandima Maldives boasts 10 restaurants and bars: a specialty Smoked grill house on the beach; signature overwater Asian à la carte restaurant Sea Dragon and modern Forbidden Bar; all-day dining venues Zest and Flavours; family-friendly Breeze Pool Bar, chic Beach Club, Deli, artistic Aroma Café and Azure Mediterranean à la carte restaurant on the beach.

The modern grill house Smoked is famous for its open-concept kitchen with the custom-made parrilla grill and homemade giant smoker. Premium meat cuts, selection of seafood and vegetables are smoked on coconut husk and Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey barrel wood chips to a perfect temperature of 75°C (167°F). Creatively designed with unique architectural features, this outlet offers both indoor and outdoor mixed seating options, giving you an amazing beach side dining venue right under the stars. Large tables set out on the sand are perfect for groups of friends or families travelling together. It's also part of Kandima's subtle goal to create spaces to mix and mingle, giving the opportunity to make new friends while on the island!

Sea Dragon overwater restaurant offers authentic Far Eastern dining with a modern touch. Guests can choose large portions of delectable meat and fresh fish prepared and served

family style or go for an amazing selection of Maldivian or slipper lobsters, giant mud crabs and snappers from the restaurant's in-house fish tanks. Chef's signature dishes include Fresh Sea Cucumber Salad, Peking Duck with Fragrant Fried Rice with Seafood and Bean Sprouts in X.O sauce and Chilled Sweetened Chinese Pear.
