Visit Park City

World famous for its ski resorts of Deer Valley and Park City Mountain, Park City's www.visitparkcity.com golf offering is equally world class, with 18 golf courses, each with 18 holes in and around Park City. All are within very easy reach of Salt Lake City International Airport, with daily non-stop flights from London Heathrow. ,

Park City is located at 6.000 ft/1.800 m. above sea level, and it is a matter of fact the golf balls can fly further at altitude. To that add the gorgeous summer climate of Park City and the stunning 360 degree mountain scenery.

In Park City and nearby Midway, there are six golf courses to be enjoyed. In Park City these include the Gene and Casey Bates designed course at Canyons Village, with an elevation difference off 550 ft./170 m. The Park City Golf Club includes an 8 station driving range, two practice greens and a putting green. The private Park Meadoes course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, offers some public tee times.

Amid the grandeur of the Wasatch Mountain Range, Park City is home to every type of lodging including spacious condos through to some of the finest hotels to be found in the mountains, and all available at attractive prices during the summer season.

Away from the numerous golf courses there are more than 400 miles of hiking and biking trails, horse riding, fly fishing, paddle boarding, road cycling, zip lining or a thrilling ride on the Alpine slide. Head to the nearby Olympic Park and enjoy an exciting bobsled ride (with a pilot of course) down the Olympic track. (Park City was the host city forthe 2002 winter Olympics).

At a more leisurely pace, Park City is reknown for its shopping in the Historic District, where many buildings date from the 19th century when Park City was a major silver mining town. As well as the boutiques and galleries in the Historic District, bars and restaurants are numerous, catering for all tastes and budgets. These include the High West Whiskey Distillery and Saloon, which during the winter ski season, is the world's only ski to the door whiskey distillery!

As summer progresses there are music festivals, food festivals, the weekly Park Silly Sunday Market and sporting events galore. Many hotels have classy spas and visitors can start the day with a morning yoga session in the glorious mountain sunshine.
