Art enthusiasts can enjoy seeing displays from new artists in Chickasaw Country. Every four months, Exhibit C, the Chickasaw Welcome Center, the Chickasaw Nation Information Center, and the Chickasaw Visitor Center rotate artists to provide a new experience.

“Part of what makes Chickasaw Country a unique travel destination is the Native American history and influence,” said Paige Williams Shepherd, Chickasaw Nation director of corporate development and tourism. “At Exhibit C and the tourism centers, we showcase Native American art and culture through the voices of multiple artists.”

Exhibit C is an art gallery and retail store located in the heart of Oklahoma City's historic Bricktown. The 4,000 square-foot space offers visitors to the tourism hotspot an in-depth art experience and an opportunity to explore traditional and more contemporary artwork created by talented Native American artists. The gallery is filled with authentic pieces of artwork as well as artisan works such as jewelry, pottery, paintings and clothing all handcrafted by Chickasaw and other Native American artists.

The tourism centers serve travelers by providing information on attractions and destinations in Chickasaw Country, with the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center located in Davis, the Chickasaw Visitor Center located in Sulphur, and the Chickasaw Nation Information Center located in Tishomingo. The tourism centers also sell Made In Oklahoma products as well as Native American and Chickasaw Nation artwork, crafts, books and more.

“In addition to the artist rotation, there are many artistic and cultural attractions in Chickasaw Country,” Shepherd said. “From museums to galleries, guests can learn about topics and artwork interesting to them.”
