May is National Walking Month and with the weather taking a turn for the better, it's a great opportunity to get out in the fresh sea air and explore the beautiful coastal resorts of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate on foot. Enjoy a historical costumed walk, circular coastal stomp or an amble discovering stunning architecture. There's lots of active fun to be had this month – and every month.
Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate can be reached in just 75 minutes from London St. Pancras Station on Southeastern's high-speed rail service.
Viking Coastal Trail
Known as the most attractive cycle and walking route in Kent, this is a 32 mile circular route taking in stunning, sandy beaches and bays, airy cliff tops and pretty rural villages. The route can be broken down into bite-sized chunks and there are lots of seafront cafes and restaurants on route if you fancy a break.

St Peter's Village Tour
The success of St. Peter's Village tour is astounding. Started some years ago and run purely by volunteers, the St. Peter's Village Tour is an award winning, guided walk around the historic village of St. Peter's, where you will meet and enjoy the interaction of several costumed characters on route. Additional themed walks have been added to the repertoire including WWI Graves Tour, WWII Graves Tour and the Churchyard Tour – St. Peter's is said to have one of the longest churchyards in the country.
