Vale da Ribeira Residences, a private 57-acre estate set in the heart of the Algarve countryside, is set to open in May 2018 offering high-quality self-catering accommodation for the ultimate relaxing holiday.

Managed by Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, Vale da Ribeira Residences comprises 42 villas with minimalist and modern décor and has been specially designed to suit all types of travellers, from couples to families to groups of friends. A choice of standard apartments and superior villas are available, all with fully equipped kitchens and open-plan living areas, air-conditioned rooms, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and private outdoor space.

Surrounded by pine, citrus and cork trees, guests can relax around the infinity pool with spectacular views of the gardens and countryside, and there is a dedicated kids' pool close by; ideal for families with young children. Guests can savour snacks, cocktails, smoothies or fruit juices at the pool bar or a freshly baked authentic pastry and specially blended coffee at the 'Coffee Corner.' A gourmet market selling all the holiday essentials, local food and wine and Portuguese specialities will ensure a hassle-free break for everyone. 

The resort's self-catering style allows ultimate flexibility for guests and is perfect for nature lovers, golfers, active travellers and sunseekers. Situated in Mexilhoeira Grande, with the beautiful Serra De Monchique mountain range to the north and the Algarve's prettiest beaches to the south, the resort is the ideal base to explore the region's scenic countryside, wildlife, historic towns and quaint fishing villages. Visitors can explore the cobbled streets of the towns of Portimao and Lagos, to learn more about the history and culture and enjoy the lively nightlife before returning to the calm and relaxation of the Vale da Ribeira Residences.
