Shining a spotlight on some of the best hotels in the world, that customers say deliver exceptional levels of service and world class facilities, Travel Republic announce the winners of the Travel Republic Hotel Awards 2018.

Each of the 1,193 winning hotels, an increase of 55% compared to 2017 hotel awards, from 20 popular holiday destinations has been selected based on Travel Republic customer reviews and ratings. These leading hotels had to achieve a minimum customer score from a minimum number of Travel Republic customer reviews in 2017.

140 hotels across the UK received an award, including 5* hotels such as The Lowry, Manchester and Grand Hotel & Spa, York, 4* hotels Headland Hotel, Cornwall and Malone Lodge, Belfast to 3* hotels such as Royal Station, Newcastle and Old Waverley, Edinburgh.

Hotels with the highest customer review score in their region, were crowned best of the best. This collection of 34 remarkable hotels left an extra special impression on UK and Ireland customers to achieve the most positive reviews in 2017.

Taking the top spot for “Best in UK” in the awards is 30 James Street, Liverpool. The new hotel in took the crown from 2017 winner and Liverpool hotel, Hard Days Night by achieving an average customer score of 9.3, based on a minimum number of reviews from customers in 2017.

This is why we have continued with the Travel Republic Hotel Awards, to promote the hotels that that provide outstanding service and are highly rated by our customers.”

Over 1.19 million genuine hotel reviews have been submitted by Travel Republic customers since 2006, with customers scoring the hotel based on location, quality of room and service.
