1847 has been long been established as a vegetarian restaurant and as we continue to evolve and look at new trends and dining habits, we've kept ahead of the pace and extended our vegan offerings across all sites.

Our three locations, Manchester, Birmingham & Bristol have always offered a menu with 50% Vegan choice although with our recently launched Spring menus, we've increased our vegan offering to around 80% / 90% of the menu. We've also carefully detailed our wine lists to include vegan wine.

Owner Damien Davenport says: "We've always tried to push the boundaries of vegetarian food and I've been championing that ethos for the past eight years. One of the biggest changes I've seen since opening 1847 is the change in perception to the vegan lifestyle. Of course we all want to protect animals, but there has been a much better understanding to the lifestyle benefits of following a vegan diet which has enabled this to become much more acceptable and mainstream."
