Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife

London, 13 March Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has revealed that Swedish singer and DJ, Dr Alban, will be the guest star at its monthly 'Children of the 80's' party in April.

Taking place on Saturday 7 April at the hotel's lagoon-side outdoor concert area, DJ trio Dream Team Reload and local band Puretas Party are also part of the line-up for the eighties extravaganza, featuring dazzling entertainers, dancers and illuminations.

The Stockholm-based artist has sold an estimated 16 million records worldwide and is most famous for his 1992 international hit It's My Life. A number two hit in the UK, It's My Life from the album One Love is still a dancefloor favourite today and a stand-out dance tune of the early nineties. Follow-up singles also placed high in the charts across Europe, including One Love, No Coke and Sing Hallelujah.

More recently, Dr Alban has featured on Sash!'s single Colour The World, and has released a single with 90's popstar, and fellow Children of the 80's headline artist, Haddaway entitled I Love the 90's.

'Children of the 80's' at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife is one of most popular monthly events – bi-monthly in July and August – on the Canary Island, with hotel guests, island visitors and locals flocking to the hotel's outdoor concert area to dress up in costumes and reminisce over music from the past.

Subsequent 'Children of the 80's' events will take place on 12 May, 16 June, 14 July, 28 July, 11 August, 25 August, 8 September, 13 October, 10 November, with the 2018 finale on 8 December marking the second anniversary of the 80s themed night.  A weekly 'Children of the 80's' party will also take place every Friday at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza from 1 June to 28 September.

Guests at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife have complete access to all live events at no extra cost.

"Early bird" tickets for the Children of the 80's events are €15 and can be bought on the website.
