Hong Kong Tourism Board

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is delighted to announce its attendance at IMM in March 2018. Celebrating the 130th anniversary of Hong Kong's iconic Peak Tram and the 120th anniversary of the Star Ferry, Hong Kong is a must visit destination this year.

Along with welcoming the opening of several new hotels, HKTB is pleased to announce that the former Tai Kwun Police Station will reopen this spring as a new dining, entertainment and arts hub in Wan Chai. Tai Kwun has been restored and revitalised to offer visitors an immersive experience which celebrates Hong Kong's heritage and culture, as well as its contemporary art scene.

Three new hotels set to open in 2018 – Hotel VIC and The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel are expected to open in the middle of 2018 on Hong Kong Island, while Rosewood Hong Kong will open this September in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Finally in transport news, the Hong Kong to Macau Bridge is slated to open in the second quarter of 2018. Holding the record for the world's longest bridge over water, the new crossing will enable visitors to drive to Macau in just 30 minutes.

For visitors wanting to travel into China, the new high speed express link between Hong Kong and Guangzhou will open at the end of 2018. The new bullet train link will cut journey times between the two cities from two hours to just 48 minutes. The link will also enable travellers to connect to Beijing by train in just nine hours.
