Pioneering UK holiday park operator Away Resorts has done it again: kicking off 2018 with the launch of an innovative new accommodation option that gives its guests the ultimate rock 'n' roll treatment.
The Rockstar accommodation - the first of its type in the UK - takes its inspiration from great British rock music, paying homage to our country's best and biggest rock legends with an interior décor that's part country chic, part Brit-cool, and part punk.
With more rebellious style than The Clash, it's a bit glam, a bit anarchic, a bit edgy, but with soft, plush furnishings, being cool doesn't mean a compromise on comfort.
The Rockstar comes after the huge success last year of Tribeca, a revolutionary new caravan for the modern family of today, designed by Away Resorts for its UK parks.
Following the Tribeca's popularity, work on the Rockstar began. Designed for incredibly indulgent getaways by holiday home design experts, ABI Holiday Homes, the Rockstar was the result of following a brief to create something inspired by British music, that's both 'bonkers and British'.
Away Resorts managing director Carl Castledine, says: "Imagine that Vivienne Westwood and the Rolling Stones designed a caravan. We are talking about a mix of plaid checks, sumptuous fabrics and, of course the obligatory luxurious bedroom, complete with a huge bath.
"But the real rock 'n' roll touch is that they will each have a bubbling hot tub sat outside, for the ultimate indulgence that every hardworking rock star deserves.
"We are responding to an appetite out there for holiday accommodation with personality, with style, with individuality."
The Rockstar's first appearance will be at 'Itchycoo Park' at the holiday company's Tattershall Lakes destination later this year. There will be 15 Rockstars in an area called 'Itchycoo Park', which will have stars on the pathways and its own very own stage. Itchycoo Park was a hit song for the Small Faces in the 1960s and '70s.
Main features of the Rockstar
• A Rockstar vibe
Enter your Rockstar and the look and tone will make you will feel a bit Liam Gallagher, or a bit Kate Moss. The Rockstar will transport you to a place of decadence. You're on holiday - you can break a rule or two!
• A central living space
The Rockstar has a central living area and kitchen, with the adults' bedroom at one side of it, and children's bedroom at the other.
The central space is funky, bright and bold. It has a 55'' inch TV screen, and panoramic bifold doors. It even has a DVD player with complimentary DVDs of classic rock concerts - and a bottle of bubbly while you watch.
• The cool kids' bedroom that rocks…
Crazy kids like a crazy den. No other holiday park has any caravans like this. The funky walls and huge windows create an awesome feel that the kids will label 'sick'. The bunk-beds come complete with TV screens and power points to charge the kids' necessary tech.
• An adults' bedroom that is a den of indulgence
Say goodbye to 'beige' walls. The new Rockstar bedroom is anything but vanilla. It features a king-size bed complete with sumptuous soft bedding, and a flatscreen TV that is viewable from the bed. A stand-alone bath-tub in the bedroom, as well as an en-suite, vanity area with full-length mirror means plenty of preening to get the look just right. And there's tons of storage space for the rock star wardrobe. There is even a hidden TV behind the mirror near the bath so you can soak in the tub while watching your favourite rock concert!
• Personal hot-tub outside
The ultimate Rockstar indulgence - your very own hot-tub. Yeah, baby!
The Rockstars will be available for breaks at Tattershall Lakes, and then also at Whitecliff Bay on the Isle of Wight.
It's time for holiday accommodation that really rocks!
